How we handle your data.

We take the protection of your data seriously — not because we have to, but because it is the right way to operate. This page explains clearly and honestly what data we collect and why.

Controller (GDPR)

Controller for the processing of personal data on this website (Art. 4(7) GDPR): Focus Training Coaching Consulting Institute LLC Sherif Khimshiashvili St. 27, 6010 Batumi, Georgia Managing Director: Dirk Haeger Contact: via the contact form on this website

Contact form

When you use the contact form, you submit your name, email address, optionally your company name, and your message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry. Legal basis is your interest in initiating contact and a possible business relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The data is not used for marketing purposes and not passed to third parties — apart from email delivery (see „Email delivery"). After the correspondence is concluded, the data is deleted unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Newsletter signup

When you sign up for the „Der Maßstab" newsletter, you submit your email address and optionally your name. Signup uses a double-opt-in process: you receive a confirmation email and must confirm by clicking the link inside. Only then does delivery start. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in every issue. After unsubscribing, your data is deleted.

Webinar signup

When you register for a free webinar, you submit your first name, email address, role (trainer / coach / L&D / executive / other), and your current AI usage level. Optionally you may provide a specific AI question that will inform the webinar opening — analysis is anonymised and no one is named individually. Legal basis is the initiation of webinar participation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We use the data solely to send the registration confirmation with the Zoom link and a calendar file, to contact you before and after the webinar, and to prepare the webinar content. If you additionally subscribe to the newsletter, the newsletter section applies analogously. Registration data is deleted 12 months after the webinar date unless you remain on the newsletter list. The webinar itself runs on Zoom — see section „Webinar platform".

Webinar platform (Zoom)

Webinars take place on Zoom (Zoom Video Communications, Inc., 55 Almaden Boulevard, 6th Floor, San Jose, CA 95113, USA). In our account settings the EU data center region is enabled: live audio, video, and chat content are processed in data centres within the European Union. When joining, Zoom processes technical connection data (IP address, device and browser information, audio/video streams, chat content). The live session is not recorded. Legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering the format and contract initiation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Administrative account data may also be processed by Zoom in the United States; Zoom is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Processing by Zoom is governed by the Zoom Terms of Service including the Data Processing Addendum with EU Standard Contractual Clauses contained therein.

Members area

Access to the members area uses a session cookie that is automatically deleted when you log out. No persistent tracking cookies are set. The cookie serves solely for secure authentication.

Hosting

This website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). The server location is Germany. Data is processed exclusively within the European Union. When the site is accessed, technical log data (IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser type) is briefly stored server-side. This is technically necessary for secure operation and to defend against attacks. Legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure website operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hetzner under Art. 28 GDPR.

Email delivery

For sending emails (responses to contact inquiries, newsletter issues, system emails) we use the service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., Delaware, USA). Email address, subject, and email content are transmitted to Resend servers. Resend is based in the USA. Data transfer is based on the EU Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (Commission Decision 2021/914), included in the Resend Data Processing Addendum. Legal basis is our legitimate interest in reliable email delivery and (for newsletter emails) your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).

No tracking, no analytics

This website does not use Google Analytics, social media pixels, or any other tracking tools. No data is passed to third parties for advertising or analytical purposes.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information about data stored about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict processing, to data portability, to object to processing, and to withdraw a given consent. Reach out via the contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe the processing of your data violates the GDPR.

Retention periods

We store your data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose: contact inquiries until completion of correspondence, at most 12 months. Newsletter data until unsubscribe. Server logs for 30 days. Business correspondence for 10 years (statutory retention obligation).
